Iowa 20, SYRACUSE 13 (Final 2OT)

I only had a dollar. I think I bet it on Syracuse. Maybe they can keep the game within the point spread, so I can win a dollar. SWEET!

I think I get more than a dollar just for making this post, which says that I hope I win a dollar.

I think Iowa being without Tate hurts more than just being without their QB. Tate was their unquestioned leader and was the field general when they needed the extra push. He might have een emotional, but sometimes a little emotion can get players around you fired up for a victory.

I would have went with the Hawks big prior to learning about Tate, but now Im skeptical. I will take the Hawks in a slim margin, unless I see another player step up as the leader. But the game could go either way.

Right now Iowa has the ball, with 2 minutes left in the 4th.

Working from their own 19, 1st and 10.
The only thing that can beat them, if they keep a clean sheet on turnovers, is not making a 1st down.

C'MON SYRACUSE!!!! LETS HOLD EM!!!!

If it was a bowl game, I would root hard for Iowa, but considering Iowa is a threat to tie us for a Big Ten title, I have to go against them.

What's the score? What was going on regarding a bad snap and the holder?

10-10. The Cuse long snapper skipped the ball backwards off the Carrier dome turf on the FG attempt to tie at the end of regulation. The ball literally rolled end over end for seven yards, and the Cuse holder scooped it up, got it down with perfect timing, and the kicker drilled it to go to OT.
