Iowa 24, Penn St. 23 (Final)

Iowa (5-4) is thisclose to being undefeated. Its four losses are by a combined 12 points; however, they really haven't played any good teams yet, and those 4 losses are to very mediocre teams (Pitt, Northwestern, Michigan State and Illinois). I can't see Penn State losing this game.

A close game is not out of the question. Many teams are playing the spoilers role at this point in the season and there are not a whole lot of pressure on them. Iowa is a solid team, 3 of those 4 losses are on the road. Iowa always played PSU well. PSU need to win comfortably - it wasn't comfortable against tOSU- but not too comfortable that it would discredit Iowa. I just hope Ferentz is not holding any grudges against PSU because the fans are not calling him as the next-in-line to JoePa anymore. How does Iowa get to skip OSU and MU the same year?

Penn State just got a helluva break. They fumbled inside their ten and somehow they decided Clark recovered it on his own one. Sure didn't look that way on the replay - it looked like an Iowa TD.

Iowa ball on PSU's 30 after a punt.

call me stupid but is it good or bad if Iowa wins? Yes we'll be tied for the big ten title but doesn't that make our Rose Bowl hopes more a long shot?
Maybe, but if Iowa wins...then a MSU win over PSU and us winning out means we win the Big 10 outright. If we win out...we go to a BCS bowl. I'd rather go to the Rose Bowl as a Big Ten Champ, then go as 2nd place in the Big Ten. If you don't win the Big Ten, you don't deserve the Rose Bowl. The Rose Bowl should never be a consolation prize.

If we win out we have a good shot at a BCS bid. The Orange is interested in us, too. I'm not rooting for PSU just because of the Rose. I'd love to see PSU blow it today.

Perfect opening for anyone rooting against Penn State.

Incredible gift from the referees (who always hate PSU and are even out to get them when they win without any penalties) reversing a TD, and then Iowa lines up and shoves it straight down PSU's throat.

Emotion never ceases to amaze me in CFB.

If the PSU vs MSU game is a battle of one loss teams then the loser drops below us and the winner is tied with us so hey sounds good to me
I think OSU/MSU as co-champs would possibly help OSU's chances at a BCS bid. If OSU wins the conference and loses the bid to the team they beat, that has at least a little 'snub' value, imo.
