Is the big 12 overrated?

i agree with you, whenever you bring up the texas vs. ok st. game which was the ninth game they played, they go back to the beginning of the season and bring up our northwestern game.
That's because they're idiots.

The point of the Okie State game is that they were a common opponent of tOSU and Texas.

Honestly fellas, this argument is kind of trite. Lets wait until the season starts before we start declaring certain conferences overrated. The Big 12 has had some bad years, but so has the Big Ten, SEC, Pac 10........ect.

This kind of chat is only designed to piss off Texas fans, and bring over flamers....... Just my 2 cents........

If a flamer hits this board it won't be because of this thread. He'd have to come here looking to flame before he ever saw it.

If Texas fans don't like threads that don't say "Texas rules" perhaps they should consider that before going to an opponents' message board. It requires some thicker skin. If this thread pisses them off, that's their problem.

11 years at say 11 games per team per year x 12 teams is about 1450 football games.

I'd say thats enough time allowed to say someones the most consistently overrated conference in CFB. But if you want to give them another year to prove it I'm game.:wink2: Trends based on big numbers tend to keep happening.

thanks, I knew it wasn't great, didn't remember how long he had been there.
In that scenario, Mack Brown is very similar to Lloyd Carr. Was having success against the Rival until the new man arrived. Stoops lost to UT in year one (1999) while JT lost in year 2...but neither since.

Splitting hairs, but JT lost in year 3.

its starting to be a joke, every year we hear this is the year they beat oklahoma, every single year.
I have a brother-in-law that was born and raised a Sooner (his grandfather is an Oklahoma grad). Every year I bet him a case of beer that this year is the year that Texas beats Oklahoma ... I'm going broke [you Longhorn #&!!*@$$'es]...

For the 2005/06 season, I've got yet another case of beer on Texas winning the RRS, and double-or-nothing that Penn State wins six games (he believes PSU's defense is a pushover in the "overrated Big-10"). :wink2:
