Iterestig theory I heard.....

craigblitz

Juice, Full of Juice!!
On 610 AM last night. ESPN is hosting the Shrine Bowl and East-West game. In order to get MoC to talk they tell him we can get you in these games but come out with everything you know against Ohio State. It is a win for each side. MoC gets the opportuity to display his talents and ESPN gets its story.

I know there are a million guesses out there but I have not heard this one and wanted to share.

ESPN is "hosting" these games? They're being played in Bristol Ct? I don't get it. ESPN may very well be broadcasting these games, but I don't think they're writing the rules for who may participate in them. When OSU went to play in the kickoff classic..... no better... when they "hosted" the Eddie Robinson Classic against Wyoming, OSU didn't get to change the rules of the game. They didn't get to say things like Player A can participate or not at our discretion. All I'm saying is, despite its commercials, ESPN doesn't control sports. Doesn't mean that they didn't tell Clarett they had such authority, but it sounds like an especially thin and ill-concieved theory in my mind.

From what the called said ESPN does have some pool in who gets to play in the game, not sure it if it is true or not. My biggest question is what helmet would e wear.... HELL no to an OSU helmet!!

Also the games that you mention are regulated by the NCAA the All-Star games are not, so who knows.

another "theory"

Too much time letting BN soften my brain has led me to this:

Mo is a BIG Urban Meyer (the new UM?) fan and is doing the whole Buckeye Nation a favor by trying to get JT run out of town in time for the Utah attack to come to Columbus.

Also, to relate back to the earlier posts, didn't Denzell use his relationship with Herman Boone (Remember the Titans) to get his son invited to an ESPN "hosted" game -- the Army All-American HS game?

can't say he used his relationship myself, but i can say all three people were there at that game.

Yeah, we can't wait to get rid of a coach who has gone 31-5 in three years with a national title and two BCS bowl wins, not to mention beating Michigan two out of three times. We want offense like Cooper had, regardless if we can beat Michigan and win a bowl game.

Have some licorice reps...

Hey Mili

If #13 shows up for the Hula Bowl, are you going to deploy the sharpshooters to ensure the game is memorable for him?
:bonk:

JIC my earlier post confused anyone - I don't want Urban Meyer (who is fast becoming an Urban Legend because of all of the things "he could do with this team") and will be wearing my Sweatervest with pride today.

I can't believe JT killed JC !

:)
