It was quite the heated battle after getting a commitment from Jahsen Wint. The 5’11” athlete from Erasmus Hall HS in Brooklyn New York had a huge list of 12 offers from all over the country but the battle came down to the Former Rutgers coach in Greg Schiano versus the new in Chris Ash.
Even though Wint committed on January 2nd, Ash visited shortly after and then Schiano made a visit to Wint to confirm he still wanted to be a Buckeye. He had previously been committed to Temple and re-opened his recruitment right before Christmas.
The hard hitting LB/WR will have a decision to make as he was recruited by both Ed Warriner and Greg Schiano. You have to believe that he may land on the defensive side of the ball considering the late push from the staff. One thing is for sure, he is a little underrated for his overall status.
Jahnsen Wint HUDL
By the number per 24/7 Sports; composite 3 Star with 0.8485, 884th ranked overall, the 63rd ranked Athlete nationally and the 2nd overall in the state of New York.
