Jim Bollman (Stay calm and run Dave)

Time for changes

I hope Tressel doesnt just sit by at the end of the year and think we are 3-3 because of execution alone.......the coaches have to bear some of the blame, these guys on the offensive line have been with the program at a minimum of two years and still don't know their assignments.

What does everyone think WILL happen at the end of the season, not necessarily what we WANT to happen or what we think SHOULD happen, but what do we think WILL happen? Im not sure, I think Bollman SHOULD be fired, but I don't think JT WILL fire his friend. Although it would be hard to believe if we finish the season playing like we are, that we wouldn't see an overhaul on the offensive side of the ball.

I personally think its time for coach T to hire an offensive coordinator, so he can just be the head coach, he has to make alot of changes on the offensive side, wether it be shuffling coaches, firing coaches or just a change in overall philosophy, It has to be done.

Its been three years now with below average offense, things have to change because we cant even run simple plays due to the lack of blocking up front.

What should happen? Bollman fired, Tressel decides to hire a full time Offensive Coordinator.

What will happen? Tressel decides to elevate Bollman to fulltime Offensive Coordinator and slides Peterson to coach the Offensive Line.

The scary part is I can really see Tressel doing this. God help us.

It could be possible that Jim Tressel is not in favor of firing his assistants. Rather they just resign on thier own re-cognizance. I really think Conley and Tressel had some differences and so Conley stepped down. I really think that this is how Jim Tressel works.

This might not be SO bad. My gripe with Bollman is that he is a horrible O-line coach. Since JT calls the plays now we don't know if Bollman would be a good Offensive Coordinator or not, we just know that Bollman is a horrible O-line coach. As for Peterson if I remember correctly he coached the O-line at Miami Oh and they did pretty well with less talent than us.

Bollman: Anyone hear about this?

Ohio State tried something new against Iowa, shifting offensive coordinator Jim Bollman from the sidelines to the coaches' box above the field. It didn't help. If the Buckeyes want a more radical change, they could turn to talented true freshman QB Todd Boeckman, a 6-foot-5, 235-pounder from Ohio's St. Henry High School. Tressel has been leaning toward redshirting Boeckman to put two years of separation between him and Zwick and Smith.

This was taken from "A look around the Big Ten" on ESPN Insider, by Teddy Greenstein. It sounds as though the staff is aware of his inability to develope a line--maybe something will be done about it. What is strange is that an offensive line coach made it to the box before the defensive coordinator.
