This particular week, it doesn't. But if we assume Miss St. drops a game... I'm sure Jimbo would much rather play whoever snags #4 in New Orleans than play Oregon or TCU in Pasadena.
I have a feeling there's not much FSU support in SoCal and TPD doesn't travel well.

It's a pretty clear indicator that the committee thinks very little of FSU, and should they somehow lose, they'd be shipped to the back of the pack of one loss teams.

There's also the outside chance that since one team with a loss has already jumped FSU, what's to keep the committee from having Alabama jump them by beating msu?
