Since the poll actually started over two years ago... I suspect the 5 was Tibs and his 4 aliases... I'm sure he was related to the Kalpoe brothers.. looked just like 'em

CNN article: "van der Sloot tells a man he considered to be his friend that he had sex with Holloway on the beach after leaving the nightclub, then she "started shaking" and lost consciousness. He said he panicked when he could not resuscitate her and called a friend who had a boat. The two put Holloway's body in the boat, he said, and then he went home. The friend told him the next day that he had carried the body out and dumped it in the ocean."

Wonder if they ever got his phone records and interrogated the friend??

WASHINGTON – The FBI thought it was closing in on Joran Van der Sloot in the notorious Natalee Holloway missing-teenager case, paying him at least $15,000 in a sting operation, federal officials said Wednesday. But when the agency delayed his arrest to help build a murder case, he took the money and headed for Peru, where authorities say he now has confessed to killing a different young woman.

Federal law enforcement officials and a private investigator say the work on Holloway's disappearance was revived about six weeks ago when van der Sloot reached out to someone close to the Alabama teenager's mother and requested $250,000 in exchange for disclosing the location of the young woman's body on the island of Aruba.

And giving comedy gold, his defense attorney made this statement:

Joran van der Sloot will be handed over to Interpol "in the next few days" before his upcoming transfer to the United States, according to Peru's federal prison agency.

The Dutch national is the prime suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba during a Mountain Brook High School, Alabama, senior trip.

Van der Sloot is currently being held in a Peruvian prison for the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores in 2010. He was originally sentenced to 28 years in prison for the killing, but more time was added on because of a drug smuggling scandal he was involved in while in jail.

He's facing charges of wire fraud and extortion in the United States after allegedly trying to sell Beth Holloway, Natalee's mother, information on where her daughter's body was located. The Peruvian government ruled earlier in May that he would be temporarily transferred to face trial in the U.S.

Natalee Holloway's body has never been found. In January 2012, van der Sloot pleaded guilty to killing Flores, and Natalee Holloway was legally declared dead that month.

Natalee Holloway's mother, Beth, said in an earlier statement shared with Fox News Digital that the transfer gives a chance for justice to finally be served.
"I was blessed to have had Natalee in my life for 18 years, and as of this month, I have been without her for exactly 18 years. She would be 36 years old now," Beth Holloway said. "It has been a very long and painful journey, but the persistence of many is going to pay off. Together, we are finally getting justice for Natalee," Beth Hollow

In a transcript of van der Sloot’s confession, he describes how Holloway asked to go back to the hotel that night—but he pushed her to take a walk with him. Alone with Holloway, van der Sloot said they started kissing on the beach before she told him she wanted to stop.

“I insist. I keep feeling her up either way,” van der Sloot said. At that point, Holloway kneed him in the crotch.

In response, van der Sloot said he kicked her “extremely hard” in the face. Then, he used a cinderblock on the beach to “smash her head in with it completely.” Scared, he said, he picked up Holloway’s body and walked into the ocean with her until he was knee-deep. He pushed her into the water and then walked home, he said.
