Joseph Barksdale (OL Arizona Cardinals)

He had a nice visit, but it's not going to happen... Sorry.

As the rest of my post says in a very roundabout way (sorry about that), I for the most part completely agree with you.

We're not that deep at DT either (probably about the same as OSU). Already got a verbal from the only blue-chip DT in Texas (this is a very good year for talent in Texas, just not at DT for whatever reason), but we've had a few years in a row with just one DT signee. Mack is definitely going to sign more than one this year, and of course we're all hoping it's Barksdale. We still have a small shot with the kid out of the DC area, but that's highly unlikely.

i don't understand why they are ranking him like that, he is obviously a top 3 DT, and in the midwest he is the number 1 DT prospect, I would imagine the nike camp would wake some of these idiots up, ever recruiting expert worth his salt should know the name Joseph Barksdale by now, hell they shoulda known it well a year ago

the bottom line regarding barksdale is that he may end up playing OL, but it won't be because he's not talented enough at DT.

If he puts up the same performance at a scout combine that he did at the Nike Camp, then he'd be a top 5 DT.

If he was from Georgia or Florida instead of Michigan, he'd be a top 5 DT. He has offers to play DT from the last 5 national champs. That's enough in my book despite Poll's insistance that he'll be a guard and all of these coaches are being less than forthcoming.

See this is the point where I think Pool is way off. He has even went on record as saying he will be an OG and not a very good DT.

The fact of the matter is the kid could basically pick his school b/c of his versatility to play DT or OG.

how do you become the most dominate player, mostly doing defensive drills, at the biggest camp in the nation that travels around every year, where 500 of the top recruits in the region attend and people question your ability? this is BS barksdale is a friggn' DT, could he be an OG? well yea and probably DARN good one, but he WILL be an amazing DT if all the developements and healthiness goes as planned, lol, u know barksdale aint happy about this because he obviously enjoys the recruiting game, i don't care what osu insiders think it is a done deal, there are plenty of other schools insiders that think it is a done deal, he makes recruiting fun, stressful for outsiders, but hey he is THAT good and just about every top school in the nation knows he is THAT good
