Cass Tech lineman up for national award
Lineman Joseph Barksdale of Detroit Cass Tech is among 16 high school football players from around the country who is a candidate for the coveted U.S. Army Player of the Year Award.
"I'm happy and grateful to be one of the finalists," Barksdale said.
Barksdale is a 6-foot-6, 310-pound two-way tackle who has yet to commit to a school. He made an official visit to Notre Dame and is scheduled to visit Ohio State this weekend.
