Shaw will visit Hurricanes and not Sooners

"I canceled my visit to Oklahoma and will be visiting Miami now," Shaw said. "I've always liked Miami and the swagger they played with. It looks like they have it back too and they're a lot of fun to watch.

"I'm taking the trip (Dec. 11) after my season is over and that will be my last visit. Even though they came in kind of late for me, I'm definitely giving Miami a serious look and they have a realistic shot for sure."
This weekend, Shaw will take an unofficial visit to Florida. This will be the second time Shaw visits the Gators this year after his official visit back in September.

"I loved my first visit there but just want to spend more time to see if it's the best fit for me," Shaw said. "I want to get a good feel for the campus, the city and hang out with the players. I didn't really get to do that as much as I wanted on my official visit.

"I basically want to see if I can live there and be happy for the next four of five years of my life. My plan is to make my decision on Christmas day, but only the coaches will know and then I'll go public with it at the Under Armour game in January."

I'm hearing he is graduating early and wants to enroll. Anyone know the time frame of his graduation. OSU's quarter system gives us an advantage IMO. He can enroll in March (for spring practice) or early January.

I'd be willing to bet he makes it out here one more time if he is really debating between us an Florida. Until then, I'm going to assume we're still his number one. The things he said about us were pretty strong and until he declares someone else his number one, I'll be happy with where we stand.

There is a third horse in that race gaining ground very quickly, and it's quite possible has passed us up as well. It's the type of horse you don't let in the gates......

UF is extremely confident that he's all theirs, especially with Powell recruiting him which has had a great impact and is someone that is very influential to Joshua.

Then again, we felt he was ours too at one point, so there's time for things to change yet again, but with Powell in his ear it sure is going to be extremely tough.

He isn't doing as well in-state as it would currently appear.

I think you're a little crazy with that statement! Almost every top recruit in FL has UF near the top of their list. Add to that their team i still pretty young so they can cherrypick for talent. There are only 6 players total that are starting seniors! That's a lot of returning talent next year! They are in great shape in possibly getting Luc, Dunkley, McCartney and maybe even both Greens! Thats a stellar class if they pull even half, which they should! Not to include the out of state kids like Shaw and Powell.

They will lose some Junir defensive players. CB Joe Haden and DE Carlos Dunlap are two of them... bot are projected high first round draft picks next year, possibly number 1 at their positions. Could also have some other early departures. No Spikes, no Tebow. They'll reload, but they won't be what they are now.
