Have you guys thought about that he has 2 teammates already commited and that could have played a huge factor. And he has also stated that he wanted to play with a good QB.

Illinois' recruiting has turned a corner with the commit of QB Nathan Scheelhaase.

not that I think he should have or will choose Ohio State......but what was that about a good QB?

More likely, it's because he didn't have offers from OSU and LSU, his supposed favorites....

Yeah, Scheelhaase > Pryor. :roll2:

I would take Pryor over a lot of players. But I won't take him over Scheelhaase cause Pryor won't be part of Illinois future in the program.

And I just try to talk some football but you guys flip out when I said our recruiting took a turn. And you don't think it did. Illinois will be getting some big names within the next couple of weeks both on the defense side of the ball

No folks took you to task when you responded that he wanted to play with a good QB, said in the same breath as another advantage ILL has regarding his teammates.

If that was merely a poorly worded statement on your part, so be it. It's not hard to see how it came across to some here, as a dig on pryor.

Honestly, no one really cared about ILL's recruiting. Congratulations, it should make the league better. But other than a single jokester named Muck, no one even noticed the 'turn' comment, let alone flipped out over it.

Did we ever get a clear answer on whether or not he actually had an offer from us? I went back through the thread and nothing was definite and it seemed to go back and forth (thread title was changed numerous times), and Scout shows him with an offer from us. Guess it doesn't matter much now...

He DID NOT...and that is coming from someone who spoke to Kraig numerous times leading up to his announcement.
