Sure seems like we're targeting Texas' recruits this year. You have to wonder if it's strategy; raid classes of likely coaching departures. First PSU, then Oregon, now maybe Texas?
I was about to post the same thing, does urban take a look at the coaching landscape each offseason and determine where easy pickings might be and try to raid the best of another top schools players when they have some turmoil?

'14 3* CB, #Texas commit, & recent #Buckeye target Jermaine Roberts tells me that the #OhioState offer changes things for him.
'14 3* CB & #Buckeye target Jermaine Roberts also tells me coach Everett Withers offered him & #OhioState is now one of his top schools.
Lastly, '14 3* CB & #Buckeye target Jermaine Roberts plans on visiting #OhioState this summer, despite being currently committed to #Texas.

Imo urban doesn't really care or worry about other coaching staffs, he's going after areas with strong recruits and even if the coaching positions don't change, he's confident that between him and the staff they can pull a large number of kids that they really want.
And with this kid currently committed so early, it'll be very interesting if mack continues with his policy of not allowing committed recruits to take other visits. That policy may backfire in his face in a very big way. This kid will probably decommit in the near future when he starts to blow up

IMO, he absolutely does this. Not a doubt in my mind.

If I was a coach with a rock star brand, I sure would. Especially if you may have already had interest in the recruit in question. It is a wise move by Urban and crew. I always wondered why Tress didn't do this much, but perhaps it is because it took Tress a long time to build report with recruits.
Urban seems to have the ability to walk right in and relate with recruits and get their attention. That is a huge plus and makes for good outcomes in situations like this.

I think the 2 NCs certainly helps. Most of the recruits now were in middle school or grade school when UF was dominating, and almost all have openly ecpressed their adoration for urban for his UF days
