Kobe is too good to be getting bailed as he much as he did in the first half. Every time he took it to the hoop and didn't convert he got the whistle even when there was zero contact. He got some ticky-tack calls in the third, but he was just in the zone with the mid-range jumper and the 3 ball was pretty money too.

I'd like to see the Suns make a series of it, but the Lakers size and Kobe being the best player on the court looks pretty good for LA. If LA takes game 2, this might be a quick series.

He only took 12 FTA this game, I didn't see too many atrocious calls.

I see the Suns, especially Stoudemire, still have no clue on how to play defense. They'll never get over the playoff hump until they do it.

This is kind of funny. Following the Amare Stoudemire comments about how he used to wear Pau Gasol out easily, and how Odom had a "lucky" game, you can see the Lakers are not finding it very funny.

For the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter Kobe has been directing Pau to the post, and everytime he delivers the pass he yells at Pau "Bust his ass!"
