I was just playing "Red Barchetta" to my teenage son a couple nights ago when I saw that he was working on an electric car project for school. Not having listened to it for maybe 10 years, it really struck me that the song is nearly 50 years old, and that the future that Peart is alluding to in the song ("... down in his barn, my uncle preserved for me an old machine for fifty-odd years...") is today.

I have been a huge fan all the way back to my teens. Subdivisions was the first album I ever heard on CD... I'll never forget the sound of the opening synth on that album pouring into my ears through the headphones.

Got into Ayn Rand digging into Peart's "philosophy".

My most memorable concert experience was seeing them on back-to-back dates on the "Presto" tour... June 11th 1990 at Riverfront and again on June 13th 1990 at Cooper Stadium.
