Here's an obit finally...

The Sonny Bunch comments at the end were right on.

I had the pleasure of meeting PJ on a couple occasions in the 80's and 90's. The second time he was speaking at the Ohio Union and I asked a dipshit inside joke question he used to end the QA, afterwards I was trying to get him to sign something and he invited me and a couple dudes I dragged along to Dicks Den... And he just hung out with us and about 3 other dudes and got pretty fucked up honestly.

I'll let it go after this... but this is about par for the course with him.

Its impossibly 80's stuff now, Holidays in Hell and Give War a Chance were his travels as Rolling Stone's foreign correspondent, whatever the fuck that means. They're kind of like everything you love about Anthony Bourdain but funnier, and in many cases much, much more serious. Let's just say, they both had that Beirut episode, and it was much hotter there in the 80's.
