LB Brian Rolle (Official Thread)

Don't think UF has room for him anymore, unless he's willing to take a greyshirt. Rumor has it that Ahmad Paige wanted to commit this week, but Meyer turned him down. With the way Corley is wavering tho, he might get the scholarship. It has nothing to do with his talent level(I think he's right on par with Edwards, Hicks, and Jones and better than Wilks), it's just a matter of room.

C'mon it is the SEC, they'll make room somehow if they want him. Should get interesting.

The 25 man rule is pretty strict :)

UF can take a max of 27(2 may count back toward last year), unless they're expecting non-quals.

Early enrollees, NFL early-entrants and non-qualifiers all play a part in it. Like I said in another thread, I expect them to still have at least 4-5 schollies to give at this point.

I was talking to a guy who is pretty well connected to FL recruiting. He said if the LB they're after (Brandon Hicks) commits elsewhere, they'll offer Rolle and he'll probably accept. But Hicks is probably a Gator so it may not matter.

By BK... Brian says that he is 110% Buckeye, and a de-commitment shouldn't even be talked about. He will not visit Florida this weekend, but will possibly visit there on 1/19, but only if they have a scholarship for him. Brian says that the game had no effect on him, and that he made his decision on more than just the team's performance.

This should make everyone feel a little better...

Speaks for itself. I still think he's ours though! Just wish he was 110% Buckeye for real with absolutely zero looking back like the Sanzenbachers and Torrences of the world.

He's wanted to visit for awhile (since this dream he had), and has been upfront with the coaches about it... The comment about his visit was that Brian won't waste his time taking a visit if there isn't even an offer there anyways... The gist of the article was that even if he does take a visit and get an offer, it doesn't mean he will de-commit...

If you only knew...even a couple of the kids who have been committed for quite some time have talked about visiting elsewhere, just not publicly.

And the staff was not as encouraging and those players have decided to just drop the idea of visiting elsewhere.

Just a really big IF is all. :) A visit is one thing for kicks...a visit only because an offer is on the table specifically for HIM, another. Anyways, I like our chances of keeping him. No big stress.

Very few recruiting visits are "just for kicks", despite what a recruit says... If a recruit is going to visit, he has an interest, committed or not... That's why Brian won't waste his time on something that wouldn't matter anyways...
