As a matter of fact, Stadiumdorm hasn't been anywhere near what you say he was allegedly supposedly.

However, perhaps a bit less of the dramatic in your comments would be appropriate, especially since you won't or can't post them.

The following is my interview with Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Brian Rolle, who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL draft out of Ohio State.

1. Back in April, you were drafted in the sixth round by the Philadelphia Eagles. Did you have any idea that the Eagles were planning on drafting you or was it a surprise?

I wouldn?t say it was a surprise. I talked to them a lot and they showed a lot of interest so when they called, I wasn?t surprised. I was just surprised where I was drafted.

2. Were you expecting to go in the sixth round, or did you think you would be drafted earlier or later?

Definitely earlier. I was hoping to go earlier but I went when I went and I?m happy with it.

3. Because of the NFL lockout, players haven?t been able to meet with coaches. Have you been able to talk with Andy Reid or any of the coaches at all, and do you have any knowledge of the defensive schemes?

I talked to a couple of coaches. They called me when they were drafting me and we spoke briefly. We could only talk for so long because of the lockout.

Eagles Agree To Terms With 10 Draft Picks

The Eagles have agreed to terms with 10 of their 11 draft picks from April's draft. The only remaining draftee unsigned is first-round pick Danny Watkins, whom Andy Reid indicated will be playing right guard.

That means second-round safety Jaiquawn Jarrett, third-round cornerback Curtis Marsh, fourth-round linebacker Casey Matthews, fourth-round kicker Alex Henery, fifth-round running back Dion Lewis, fifth-round offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde, sixth-round offensive lineman Jason Kelce and sixth-round linebacker Brian Rolle, seventh-round linebacker Greg Lloyd and seventh-round fullback Stanley Havili are all expected to be ready to go for tomorrow morning's maiden training camp practice.

All 10 players have agreed to terms on four-year deals.

NFL: Immokalee grad Brian Rolle signs four-year deal with Philadelphia Eagles

Former Immokalee High School and Ohio State standout Brian Rolle inked a four-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles on Wednesday, one day before the team was to open its training camp.

Rolle was a sixth-round draft pick this spring, and was one of eight draftees to sign with the club on Wednesday.

?I?m so excited to be playing this game I love,? Rolle posted to his Twitter account Wednesday night.

Brian Rolle: The Eagles like Rolle, the rookie sixth-round pick from Ohio State, and have been creative looking for different ways to use his unique talents. He?s small and short but is making a case for a roster spot with his power and energy. One of those guys who plays bigger than he looks. If Rolle can be a force on special teams, he could come out ahead in a battle for a fifth linebacker spot behind the three starters and Keenan Clayton, with Rashad Jeanty, Akeem Jordan and Greg Lloyd also in the mix.

Saw a defensive assistant on the sidelines talking to Mr. Rolle. It was obvious that he (Rolle) was telling the coach what he just saw. The coach smiled and gave him a pat on the shoulder pads, laughing as he left. It seemed to me like the type of exchange usually reserved for veterans.

PHILADELPHIA?

? Add rookie linebacker Brian Rolle to the list of players in love with the Eagles' new defensive schemes this year. Perhaps its because they resemble his old ones at Ohio State.

Whatever the reasons, Rolle has grasped what new coordinator Juan Castillo is trying to do well enough to work his way this week into the first-team nickel package, which means he could wind up starting a bunch of games this season, considering how often opponents start with pass packages against them.

Rolle's new role has him so excited that he talks like one of those accelerated disclaimers at the end of car commercials. You have to slow the recording down in playback to understand him.

"When the coach kind of said [I would be with the first team], I was like, 'did he mean what he said?'" Rolle said. "But I've been getting compliments on how I played in the first two games, so I'm not surprised I'm out there with the ones."

Rolle's only thought now is to play as fast as he talks and to not think about being out of position or anything else.

"I'm not worried about mistakes," Rolle said. "That's what [defensive coordinator Juan] Castillo tells me. Don't worry about making mistakes, just worry about making plays, and I'm just out there having fun."

Rolle now replaces fellow rookie Casey Matthews on passing downs, joining second-year player Jamar Chaney as the only linebackers on the field.

"I play the [middle linebacker]'," he said. "If they run the ball, I'm stuffing holes and [if they pass] I'm out guarding the tailback or tight end or whatever may be."

Rolle is undersized at 5-10, 227, but was good enough to win the Randy Gradishar Award as Ohio State's top linebacker last season. Drafted in the sixth round, he is part of what is shaping up to be an extremely strong set of rookies.

How strong?

Rolle could be one of as many as six rookie starters on opening day, including Matthews, punter Chas Henry and kicker Alex Henery. Offensive linemenDanny Watkins and Jason Kelce are the others.

Big Role For Rolle Thursday Night

Rookie linebacker Brian Rolle has been a playmaker ever since he started playing football.

Despite a standout career at Ohio State, he dropped to the sixth round of this year?s draft. However, he?ll have his chance to shine Thursday night against Cleveland as he worked in as first-team nickel linebacker this week, as he?ll play alongside fellow linebacker Jamar Chaney.

"This is a great opportunity," said the 5-10, 227-pound Rolle. "For a guy like me, who was drafted late, to get to run with the ones is great. I?ve been getting compliments on how I played in the first two games so I?m not surprised I?m out there with the ones."

Last year at Ohio State, Rolle led the team with 76 tackles, including 11.5 loss. He also had 2.5 sacks and pair of interceptions as he earned first-team All-Big Ten honors. Rolle?s sideline-to-sideline range and tackling ability have meshed in well with defensive coordinator Juan Castillo?s scheme.

"I?m a guy who?s fast and quick," said the Ohio State alum. "If I see something open up I?m going to get it, and the coaches love that. Coach Castillo tells us to get out there and not worry about making mistakes. I have to get out there, make every rep important, run as fast as I can, and make plays."

Rolle is confident that he can step up and produce right away. The early success of his former Ohio State teammate, and current Eagles teammate, safety Kurt Coleman, who was drafted in the seventh round last year, has given the rookie confidence that he will be given the chance to contribute so long as he works hard and is willing to learn.

"It most definitely gives me inspiration," Rolle said. "When I got here, I thought to myself, ?If Kurt can do it, I can do it.? We?re both hard-working guys, and we both know what it?s like to have a low profile for a few years before being given a chance. Every day, Kurt and I talk about what it takes to be great and how we can get better. I look forward to the challenge."

Herron, Posey, Shugarts, Williams, Sweat, and Moeller would all be good options that would likely be available in the later rounds. Posey and Herron could possibly be higher picks but with the 5-game suspensions it could be difficult for them to solidify a spot in the first 3 rounds.

Seems that a key element why Rolle is doing as well as he is... is due to the similarity between OSU defensive scheme and Eagles.. that being said, Sweat and Moeller have to be on their radar...

and missing 5 games won't matter at all in draft position... look at Little (Browns) who missed the whole year... if you can play, the NFL will find you

I tend to agree with you but I believe Posey with his measurables will go at worst in rd. 2

BRIAN ROLLE, LB

His speed and cover skills have enabled Brian Rolle to take over the job as middle linebacker in the nickel package, working with Jamar Chaney as the only linebackers on the field. Rolle runs well and delivers a wallop. He has natural instincts and is, simply a really good football player.

Not only is Rolle expected to play a big part in the defense, he is expected to be a core member of Bobby April's special teams. The young man from Ohio State has a lot on his plate early in his NFL career.
