LB Jerome Baker (Seattle Seahawks)

I hope Jerome picks us and I think he will but in the off chance he selects Florida I don't see it sticking. When muschamp goes 6-6 or 7-6 and he will because he always has he will be gone.

Side note i'm happy where we are with our LBs and while I'd be disappointed if we didn't land Baker we have an awful lot of young guys already in the fold.
For whatever it's worth, what I'm hearing is that his fondness of FLA OR TENN has nothing to do with either staffs. I heard he just loves the south and the SEC is a big deal to him. At the same time, home is home and I hope that's where he stays but I really feel like if for some awful reason he goes elsewhere it's gonna be a done deal

Benedictine LB Jerom Baker's top three - Ohio State, Tennessee and Florida - is now his final three: Buckeyes recruiting
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Benedictine linebacker Jerome Baker recently told cleveland.com that of the eight remaining schools in his recruitment, Ohio State, Tennessee and Florida were the ones standing out the most.

On Tuesday, Baker confirmed that his decision – which is scheduled to be announced at his high school Friday at 10 a.m. – is now between only the Buckeyes, Volunteers and Gators.

Rated by Rivals.com the No. 3 athlete in the 2015 class, Baker most recently elimited Miami (Fla.), Notre Dame, Florida State, Michigan State and Penn State.

A 6-foot-1, 206-pound prospect, Baker is listed as an athlete because he also plays running back for his high school. But he projects as a linebacker at the next level.

Ohio State was initially going to take three linebackers in the 2015 class because it had such an impressive haul at the position a year ago, but the Buckeyes will certainly make room for elite prospects.

Urban Meyer received a commitment from Justin Hilliard – Rivals' top inside linebacker in the class – last week. Ohio State also has a verbal commitment from four-star linebacker Nick Conner of Dublin, Ohio, and are interested in other premier linebackers. They would likely make room for more in this class.

Here's what Baker had to say about his top three last week:

Ohio State: "Ohio State is home. That's what they sell, that's what they preach on - just begin home," Baker said. "My friends go there, my family is going to be able to see me. It is the ultimate comfort level, and there is so much Ohio State has and I really love.

"Basically my whole family went down to Ohio State and it was beautiful to see everyone enjoy it. Ohio State is pretty much my family."

Tennessee: "Tennessee, when I got there it was instant love. I was just welcomed by the Tennessee Volunteers love. Their fans, they pretty much have the best fans in the nation. Their fans are just phenomenal, and the coaches and players welcomed me right in. And their academic support and facilities - I was really excited about that. They basically have everything you could possibly want."

Florida: "When I was down there, I stayed with (freshman Florida CB Jalen Tarbor), and he basically became my best friend. Florida, it fits me and it fits my personality. It's laid back, and you handle your business and you have fun doing it. I really, really, really loved that. That's what stood out to me about Florida."

So it boils down to family and home vs a best friend and a laid back environment. I think this is a classic heart vs head approach. You can tell he loves Florida but I think he still goes with his head on this one with tosu. Besides he does say his comfort is high with osu and his friends go there.

Side note no wonder Florida has lost their edge. Imo, you cant be laid back as a program and expect to be great. That's why Pete Carroll did well at USC they compete and same with Alabama. Look at ttun, they're too laid back and they have struggled just like Florida.

As Leroy Jethro Gibbs would say "I don't believe in coincidences"
