LB Robert Reynolds (official thread)

Ex-Titan Reynolds given one-year suspension by NFL
By Terry McCormick, [email protected]

Former Tennessee Titans linebacker Rob Reynolds was given a one-year suspension by the NFL on Wednesday for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Reynolds? agent Brad Leshnock said he could not comment as to the nature of the suspension, citing confidentiality reasons, but indicated that Reynolds, 27, would likely retire from the NFL.

Reynolds was waived/injured by the Titans prior to the opening of training camp last season but remained at the team?s facility to rehab a hamstring injury.

Reynolds, a fifth-round draft choice from Ohio State in 2004, is from nearby Bowling Green, Ky. He played mostly on special teams for his three seasons on the Titans? active roster.

Reynolds has not yet signed with another NFL team, and even if he did, would not be allowed to work out at that team?s facilities except to rehab a medical injury.

Reynolds was charged in a domestic issue involving his ex-wife that took place in Ohio while the Titans were on their bye week in 2006. Reynolds wound up spending the remainder of that season on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

Who?s Hot?
Ohio State?s Robert Reynolds Now In Kentucky

Ohio State?s Robert Reynolds is more known for what he did between plays than any play he actually made. During a 2003 game against Wisconsin, Reynolds choked quarterback Jim Sorgi following a tackle, injuring Sorgi?s trachea and knocking him out of the game. He received a one-game suspension as a result. Also suspended by the NFL in 2008 for substance abuse, today Roberts works for Bobcat and resides in Bowling Green, KY.
