Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

They aren't exactly the sharks NFBuck was looking for, but LeBron was almost done in by several bridges today during the Heat championship "parade."

Yes, bridges.

A gif of every shot Lebron made in game 7... all at once.

Who the [censored] doesn't have role players? Even the Yankees had at least 1 role player while they were buying championships. What point does that make?

The argument was that Lebron needed to puss out and go form an all star squad to be able to win his titles (and he needed 7 games for it. Jordan doesn't even know that finals can go 7 games).

Thanks for your permission to hate the way the supposed best player in the game goes about his douchebaggery.

Actually, the "argument" i was engaging in was whether he owed Ray Allen all the credit for bailing him out. And my point was that LeBron carried the Heat in Q4 and this role player finished it off.

But thank you for changing my "argument" to continue your tirade.

Yeah....that word of the day calendar you're using? Try to wait for an occasion that actually makes sense. Tirade? Really?

Anyway, what was said was:
Lebrick had to team up with the likes of Bosh and Wade to barley win 2. Like I said a few pages back, he owes Ray Allen a car or a house after saving him from himself.

Lame argument. I don't know of many guys who won championships who didn't also have excellent teammates. I guess the Bulls never benefited from Paxson hitting some late 3s either. Hilarious.
The names Bosh & Wade were in there with Ray Allen. You replied with the word teammates. Plural. Maybe if you didn't have to make ridiculous reaches like John Paxson = Ray Allen you wouldn't have to clear up so many of the retarded things you say about Lebron.

So Allen's name was is there just as I said. Thanks for proving my point. And yes, at this point in their careers Paxson=Allen.

You've made my day easier by validating my point.

I still don't know if this is the best comparison.

Paxson only played til he was 33, at which point he averaged 2.6 PPG and 1.2 APG in '93-'94. Even at his peak, he never averaged more than 11.3 PPG.

Even a severely diminished Allen (at age 37, no less) averaged 10.9 PPG and 1.7 APG in 2013.

Wow, just...wow. In his best season Paxson wasn't close to providing what Ray Allen did this year at the end of his career.

Team Mates. Plural. Referring to each Team Mate that was listed in the post you replied to.

You know how you get mad when people call you a contrarian? You shouldn't....because the only other option is that you're just not that bright. I think we both know that's not the case.

Look, here's the straight truth, LeBron is the greatest player playin today. He absolutely carried and dominated in much of the Finals. It takes 5 guys to play as an NBA team so there were always 4 other guys on the court. But if you watched the series, it's clear that regardless of whether Allen hit a shot or Wade had a good game, it was always LeBron who carried them. He may have thought it would be easy to team up with Wade and Bosh to get championship, but in the end that wasn't true and he ended up playing fucking awesome basketball. He CARRIED the team through the season and the Finals. You don't have to like it, but he's now a two time champion largely because he earned it. That's not contrarian, that's truth.

Now, feel free to rant on about how he doesn't measure up to some other past legend.

There's nothing to "rant on" about when you don't say a bunch of stupid shit. I don't know too many people here who would disagree with the statement that he's the best basketball player right now. It's just that right now there isn't that much to be better than, so the comparisons come......and he falls short. That's truth.
