The one thing that Jordan had that LeBron never will is that Jordan was simply the biggest asshole on the planet. For christ sake, he beat the shit out of Kerr in a practice and drove Perdue to the verge of a nervous breakdown. His insane competitiveness led him into being a degenerate gambler that [[allegedly]] led to his father getting whacked and the league telling him to take a couple years off and play baseball. It led him to turn his Hall of Fame speech into the greatest example of Hall of Fame speech jackassery in history. LeBron is, at heart, a nice jovial guy. He's not willing to trash every relationship he has on the team to make it 3% better. And who knows without the Zen Master to control it all, who's to say that Jordan's douchbaggery wouldn't have torn that team apart rather than will it to six rings.

I'm not saying this as wholly a positive for Jordan. I think LeBron has grown into a much better man than Jordan. If I wanted one of them to watch my kid, I'd pick Lebron. If I wanted one of them to win my franchise a ring, it's a lot more complicated. All that being said, if LeBron leads the Cavs to the title, it eclipses any single season achievement that Jordan had.

Yup - it's about the hype and the biggest hype machine on the planet (ESPN) is leading the charge....but since it's not the SECSECSEC no one seems to care all of a sudden...

Actually, it's spoken by someone who has done an extensive amount of reading. I've learned that people throughout history have always had delusional conceptions of the past in relation to the present.

In basketball, Wilt said Jordan's generation was soft, and now we have many people saying that this generation of players is soft, unlike the pinnacle of physicality during Jordan's era.
