List who will finish 1, 2, and 3 next year

all this heavy talk about USC and i dont feel it... i this that they will have to rebuild this year... i know you can say that they had a great recruiting class but the recruits haven't proved anything yet...
I agree with this. As I was rewatching the Rose Bowl about a week ago, it seems as if they are losing a ton of players, I think its about time for them to drop a regular season game again.

I will go with:

1. Texas or tOSU depending on who wins the game
2. Florida State
3. Georgia

I think the loser of the UT-tOSU game ends up #4.

Interesting choice in Florida St. Until they actually live up to preseason hype this millenium, I'm not buying it. Georgia loses a lot too and plays in a tough conference.

Don't see how my beloved Horns can contend for the crown without an experienced QB. I think Tennessee did it in '98, but think it's a bridge too far.

Incidentally, for anyone who hasn't seen it, "A Bridge Too Far" is a fine movie with a great cast. What sets it apart is that it adheres fairly closely to the actual events. Also, there are some really nice explosions in it, especially when the British Typoon fighter bombers bomb the German defensive positions. Also, it's great proof that there's nothing man can't mess up if he really puts his mind to it.

Mentioning the Vols and '98 round here raises bad memories for many.

That said ...

I think it could go

1 - tOSU
2 - Choklahoma
3 - USC

I simply don't see ND surviving 4 B-10 teams and Georgia Tech, let alone an away gig with USC.
Texas, will have too much to fill after their championship season and Young's deaprture.
West Virginia, I am simply not buying. One loss to anyone and their stock plummets.

The ACC chews up its own children again this year, as will the SEC.

If Choklahoma drops it in the Red River shoot-out then my 4th slot in would be a toss-up between Florida State and LSU.

Are you trying to compare war to football?!? You're going to end up getting this thread merged with the courage thread.
