Tend to agree, but people are beginning to talk and discovering this is a special team. Having witnessed the comeback from a season that began 2-2 with close losses to Lake and Northwest, this team has grown up fast. There is a solid core of Senior leadership, Schooley, Poyser, and Swigert, who are being considered as recruits at 1aa or D 3 level. The real strength of this team however is at the skill positions with 17 starters who are Juniors and Sophomores.
Seems like every opposing team has a bigger line, more speed, and are projected at a higher level for college recruiting.
DeSales was a shocker, totally unexpected, but it seems to have propelled this team with a level of confidence that makes them believe they can compete with the best and the victories over more highly regarded teams were not an anomaly. Guess we'll all find out this Friday at Massillon, when Louisville will be in the state finals for the first time in school history.
