LSU Tigers (official thread)

@Nutriaitch

IYO, is LSU playing to Burrow's strengths? I haven't watched every snap but from what I've seen they seem to want him to be a pocket passer and/or roll the pocket.

honestly, we haven’t done enough of anything consistently well enough for me to even know what his strengths are.

we seem to prefer to call low percentage pass plays way more often than anything else.
we either run off tackle or throw 20 yards downfield.

unfortunately for Joe, when we do call slants and crosses, our WR like to drop the ball.

he does seem to make the right read, is tough as nails, and doesn’t get rattled. multiple times now he’s audibles at the line into a play that gained big chunks of yardage. which is something that we haven’t seen in quite a while here.

so i don’t think he completion % is necessarily a knock against him. i think it’s a symptom of a much larger problem.

tell your husband to quit smoking crack.

OSU has Urban Meyer.
LSU has Ed fucking Orgeron.

we were just in a goddamn dogfight with Louisiana Tech!

whoopty-fucking-doo we beat auburn. we own those red neck bitches. even Dinardo had a winning record against them.

Urban could draw out every play in crayons and give them to O before each snap and we’d still fucking lose.
A+ post.

I think a lot of us Buckeye fans still have horrible flashbacks of the 2016 Clemson game and Iowa game. Doesn't help that our defense is super hit or miss.

x2
The games i watched he had a lot of throw aways to either avoid busted protection or coverage sacks.
His accuracy was occasionally off - behind receivers or just not throwing open. But usually catchable.
Orgeron wasnt doing read option (should be a strength?) and ground game struggled for long stretches before breaking off a big run.
He's done a good job as game manager imo. Protects ball, makes good decisions, occasional audible, takes what defense gives ... not much else to be said.
Hopefully he survives Bama... not much faith in that oline.

yeah yeah yeah.

congrats.

first time since the Civil War we go into a game with a noticeable advantage at QB and we still fucking lose.

This series is taking a toll on my heart. If we could trade QB's straight up, I might be more positive. Franks is not your football intellect. If your receivers could catch some of those perfect passes with two minutes to go, it might have been different. Then again, if our DB had fallen to the ground instead of scoring a pick six, we'd have won the game by running out the clock without putting it back in Joe's hands.

Good game Nute. Beat the shit out of Georgia next week. Please.
