On a couple different threads I've joked about the fine folks at mgoblo talking about Tressel changing the turf to a slippery turf that required a "magic shoe" for grip before The Game....

So... today, I came home for lunch and popped in the DVD of this year's Game, and something caught my eye.

See Teddy's shoes?

Yeah? So what... well... Here's a pic of Teddy in the Minnesota game (last game on the "non magic turf")

Seems like those conspiracy guys might be on to something :paranoid:

Pff. That's a purely amateur conspiracy scenario.

The real Magic Shoes[sup]TM[/sup] contain miniature mind-control devices implanted into the cleats, designed to cause confusion and hesitation in the opponent. There are also amplifiers planted in all the goal posts in order to maximize their effects inside the red zone.

Nonsense. :paranoid: They protected the goal posts after the game for completely different reasons. :paranoid:

I have a pretty close up picture of the magic shoe. While we were rushing the field I ran right by Mr Ginn himself. Unfortunately I couldn't snap any decent shots because everyone was bumping into me.
But anyways.... here's the back of his head... and the magic shoe....
