It's still over my head. Did I miss a previous post or am I just getting old?

You might be getting old but hopefully that means you will get this reference.

Might have worked better with that Britney Griner Baylor team?

True. That is a scary dude female athlete.

If that's the joke no wonder I missed it. American women's basketball players look like super models compared the 1976 East German women's Olympic team. You kids didn't see those monsters.

You got me there. It was less a joke on their appearance as it was just a fact that there must be some dudes on that team the way they obliterate all of the other women's teams.

Perhaps the greatest acting job in March Madness history goes to #33 for UConn's women's team with 26 seconds left in OT, down by 2 to Mississippi State. She managed to turn a girl's hand brushing against her face into a flagrant foul by falling like she'd taken a punch from Mike Tyson, and the officials (perhaps willingly) bought it.

Two shots and the ball, just when they needed it. :roll1:

Amazingly, she's fully recovered and sank both free throws. ESPN's talking heads are either suckers, or so in the tank for UConn (and ratings) they're actually saying it's the right call. What a crock.

How is this fair? Aside from what I think was a bullshit call on incidental contact.....MSU had the ball with a 2 point lead, and took an ok/hurried 3 pointer. If they had known that the game was technically tied, I highly doubt that's the shot they would've taken. So the refs miss a call, let MSU think they have a lead, wait for a stoppage, then decide to give UConn 2 shots and let them keep the ball....with what should have been time for UConn to take the last shot.

What if the game situation was the same, except the only clock stoppage happened with 0.0 on the clock? MSU celebrates a win and the refs give UConn 2 foul shots to send it to OT with no time left?

Miss State got hosed. The right team won in the end. They outplayed UConn for most of the night.

I hope these games are better than I expect. Oregon has done well to get this far without him but they'll probably miss Boucher tonight. UNC isn't a team you want to face down a big man. South Carolina's offense in the tourney has far surpassed their output during the season. Can they really keep that going?

Thornwell was sick this week and he's done next to nothing. Carolina has no chance if he doesn't have a big second half.

Just when the Zags looked like they were pulling away (up 14), here come the Cocks (only down 4). Better game than I expected.

Edit: And we're tied with less than 8 minutes to play!
