what a game. Mavs have the lead the whole game, up 14 at the half, up 7-9 with a few minutes to play. Manu just hits a 3 to take the lead with 30 seconds left.

The shot of Marc Cuban in shock is priceless.

The Mavs would like to apologize for ruining your evening.

I wasn't even sure who I wanted to win because I like Tim Duncan and the Spurs, but also like the Mavs and wanted to see them win. It was a great game, and Diop was the unsung hero for the Mavs, playing some great defense on Duncan in OT, after Dampier fouled out.

The thing that really blew my mind about this game, was how they had been riding Duncan all series long and then at the end of regulation they let Manu go 1on1 and see if he could score. They werent going to stop Duncan in that situation and if they would of doulbed he would of found the open man.

I think Duncan only scored once in four or five OT possessions.

The other factor is that it's easier to take the shot at the exact time you want it taken by using a guard looking at the shot clock before he makes his move. (In a tie game with the other team still having a timeout, it's best to shoot at 2 or 3 seconds, only leaving time for a tip, but less than 1 second if the other team gets a rebound). It's harder for Duncan to track the time, with his back to the basket and a double-team probably coming on the catch.

Ginobili got a good look, and Duncan was in position for a put-back, so I don't think it was a bad play call.

I understand what you are saying, but you have to stick to your guns, and they could of started a play with 8 seconds or so left and ran a pick n' roll type play with Duncan, b/c you know the defense is going to collapse on him and then that would free Ginobli, or if Duncan got the ball there would be a double and then a kick out to a guy like FInley or Big shot bob.
