McMullen Released by the Eagles

McMullen was unable to participate in last week's rookie camp or the upcoming passing camp because his Ohio State class had not yet finished its final exams.

Well, as long as it wasn't due to lack of performance, then he should get a shot on some other team...

Man, there's no way that guy on the far right could beat him out - looks like a stiff wind would blow that kid over! :p

Speil's was said on the radio that he told McMol. that he was welcome to come to the Destroyers if the NFL didn't pan out... Scott said he would be interested in playing for the Destroyers if it didn't work out... maybe he plays in C-Bus afterall...??

I think his missing camp for school didn't help his cause

I guess the Eagles were as impressed with his "quick release", "quick decision making" and - of course - "rocket arm" as Tressel & Company.

You really aren't cheering for him to fail are you ? You may think you're being cute in a effort to defend Tressel's decision to play and start first Bellisari and then Krenzel but you'll have to point me to the NFL scouts and GMs who consider him to have a eye for Qb talent and the ability to develop it. Tressel Qb recruit Tupa gets moved to punter, Bellisari switched to safety, and Krenzel will likely have a very short career himself. It's painful to think that we can't recruit and do better when we are THE OSU.

Nope, not at all.

You may think you're being cute
Actually, I know I'm cute, junior, but I digress...

I can point you to some NFL coaches who think some Buckeye fans do NOT "have an eye for QB talent"...they work for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Krenzel will not be a good NFL Qb

If the Bears took Spencer's word into account, it'll be the last time they seek his advice in evaluating talent. Krenzel lacks the arm strength, accuracy, timing, and pocket presence to be successful. He may have been the starting Qb on the national championship team but he was behind a lot of other players in how that came about.

I'm sure you are as worried as Tressel is about Mcmullen possibly having any or more professional success than Krenzel.
