2024 WIDE RECEIVER ELIJAH MOORE VIEWS OHIO STATE AS A DREAM SCHOOL, SAYS THE BUCKEYES ARE NEAR THE TOP OF HIS LIST AFTER RECEIVING AN OFFER ON HIS VISIT

Elijah Moore has always considered Ohio State to be a dream school.

Although the three-star 2024 wide receiver grew up in Maryland, the two college football teams Moore planned his Saturdays around watching were the Buckeyes and LSU. In particular, he wanted to watch Ohio State’s wide receivers play and focus on the Tigers’ defensive backs. He has vivid memories of watching past OSU teams, recalling watching Ezekiel Elliott, Braxton Miller and Michael Thomas when they donned the scarlet and gray.

Since he started playing wide receiver in high school, Ohio State has become a must-watch as Moore works to pursue a dream of one day having an opportunity to play college football at the highest level. After breaking out his sophomore year, the Buckeyes were impressed by what they saw on film and stayed in contact with Moore throughout the summer and into the fall.

When Moore’s school, Our Lady of Good Counsel High School (Olney, Maryland), traveled to Ohio in person in September to play Archbishop Moeller, some Ohio State coaches were in attendance to see Moore go off with a nine-catch, 123-yard, two-touchdown performance against one of the better teams in Ohio. Brian Hartline, Devin Jordan and Mark Pantoni had all been in contact with Moore for months and were eager to get the 6-foot-4, 190-pound prospect to a game at OSU.

On Nov. 26, Moore and his family finally had the opportunity to make their first-ever visit to Columbus for the Buckeyes’ game against Michigan.

ELIJAH MOORE PUTS BUCKEYES IN TOP 10

Ohio State offered Moore on his visit to Columbus for the Michigan game, an offer he took to heart.

“Coach (Brian) Hartline likes me a lot,” Moore told Eleven Warriors after his Michigan visit. “I got to talk to him for a long time about route concepts and receivers he’s had in the past. We got to talk a lot, and we had a strong bond, just about his passion for receivers.

“He just loves what he's doing. Like, his passion is being the receivers coach. He talks about it all the time. He loves his receivers that he's had as a receiver coach. He just knows what it takes to be a receiver. He knows all about it. He showed me some of his stuff, and he was a good receiver when he played in the league, too. That’s his passion, and it’s one of my passions, too. I like learning about what it takes to be a receiver. So that’s something that we had in common.”

Id love to add that size to our roster with all the smaller guys we have coming in. Seems is going to be McClellan, Trader or Hudson with one of those coming in and if we get a 4th Id want Moore
If we could even just get one of the above to complement what we already have with Smith and Graham I would be really happy. If we could land two I would be ecstatic. Any combination of the above guys would be a biscuits and sausage gravy status in my rating system.

Wiltfong likes where Moore is trending towards OSU. Said it was big that Moore moved up his OV to a week before scUM.
I would never go against Hartline, and if he sees Moore as someone who is good enough to be a Buckeye, than I'm all for it. But like @Bestbuck36 said with 2 WR spots left, OSU will be choosing between: Moore, TJ Moore, McClellan, Trader and Hudson.

Interesting. Moore does bring in a different skill set, so there could be something to that. I'll let Hartline et al. figure that out at this point. Not much room at the inn currently, but the last couple spots I'm sure will be quality adds. But WR recruiting is a mystery when Hartline seemingly lands whatever WR he wants and you don't know who has a comimmitable offer.

Yeah, Hartline certainly has an eye for WR talent. I would’ve never seen Graham being THIS good when they offered him. And now I wouldn’t be surprised if he was in the 2 deep as a frosh Or at least see ST play. MHjr looked good and has great genes, but I wouldn’t have thought he would be better than Egbuka and Fleming when he signed. Sam with JSN being better than Wilson and Olave, who are both studs in their own right.
