Memories of your last football game

My last game as a senior is tomorrow evening. I have a lot of mixed emotions right now and I was just wondering what some of your memories were from the last football game you ever played.

1971 Vero Beach High versus Pahokee.

I was wondering "Will my tongue ever stop bleading?" That, and "This mouthpiece doesn't work with braces worth a shit!"

[mili]knowing that it was my last game, leading my group onto the field was tremendously exhilarating. we had prepared all season for that moment. we had gone through numerous practices that ran for hours in the hot august sun. we spent countless afterschool sessions honing our moves. it was exhausing work, but we knew that it would pay off. stepping onto the field, a rush of adrenalin flooded my body as the crowd began to cheer.

unfortunately, the reed on my clarinet had broken, and i was forced to pretend that i was creating music.[/mili]

yes, i'm waiting for the wrath.

1966 City Championship Game Polk High Panthers vs Andrew Johnson High, rained hard the night before, field was muddy, kept raining the whole game too. i was a tailback, scored four touchdowns. final ticks of the game, we had the ball on the three yard line, and were down 27-21, hand off to me on the right side, i ran over "spare tire" dixon to score, we kicked the extra point and won

My final game was a loss, playoffs in '99-'00 season against defending state champs, Lebanon. Played my heart out, one of the best games I ever had, it was frustrating we couldn't pull out the win. They were a good team though, lotta seniors shed some tears cause they knew it would be their last game.
All I can say is leave it all on the field tonight, no regrets. Look back on the game fondly, remember that rush as you charge the field, the fan's reaction. Afterwards, thank your teammates for a great year. You always remember your last game.

i'm wearing the #12 because our equipment manager handed me the wrong jersey, doesn't matter 'cause i scored 4 touchdowns in the '66 City Championship Game!

Ah Ha, you aren't the real Al Bundy. Al never would call his wife "Peggy". He once called her a "Lousy, red-headed, life-sucking moskito!" and did refer to her as "I'm married to a woman named................something" though.

Peg, when you married me, was it pre-meditated or a drive-by marriage.

I didn't play football but my advice is leave it all on the field tonight because it will be something you remember for the rest of your life. Good luck tonight.

Winning my Senior year Homecoming game, after being down by 20. It was the first Homecoming win in like 5 years. I'll never forget it

That's my last good memory of our football season haha. Our last game we got beat 21-7 by the State Champs that year.

Last game was a loss in the State semi-finals.

Second to last game, however, was a 41-38 OT victory, after coming back from being down 35-7 at halftime, on the road, at night, and against the #1 team in the state to win the Region Championship.

That's probably how i'll remember things .

Football > *

Any kid who is debating playing in High School, definitely go through with it. It was one of the best times of my life and I wish I could go back and do it again.
