Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

Reddit's /r/CFB Excel Thursdays are always great.

With the complacency of their Admin and Donna Shalala, I don't see them going anywhere but mediocre.

Sebastian the Ibis walks bride down the aisle

Usually the bride makes the grand entrance. And Jennifer Urs Sullivan did, walking down a staircase as family and friends watched.

But then came laughter and applause: the University of Miami (Fla.) mascot, Sebastian the Ibis, entered and walked Sullivan down the aisle.

''When my dad passed away, I dreaded walking down the aisle without him and wasn't sure how I'd make it through the moment,'' Sullivan wrote on her Facebook page, via LostLettermen.com. ''And yet it ended up being one of the most amazing/memorable moments of the day.''

Nice to see that he dressed for the occasion. Seriously...she replaced her late father with a COLLEGE FOOTBALL MASCOT?!? I'm the last to throw stones at someone else's glass house, but seeing as how my father was going to be the one who would marry my wife and I (he was a preacher), and he passed a year before we got married - the last thing I thought of was replacing my dad with Al Sharpton....

At Least Reverend Sharpton is (presumably) an ordained minister.

Now, having said that, we don't know if this woman's late father was the San Diego Chicken... in which case it might make some sense. As it is, she might as well have walked her Pomeranian down the isle, or maybe a parrot on the shoulder.... I dunno.

You're honestly going to say that you didn't want this guy to officiate your ceremony? I don't believe you!

Not to mention a fickle fan base, and a coaching staff that doesn't know how to recruit an eliTE team(top 4 commits for 2015 are all RBs...). Not focusing on anything but WRs and RBs and not playing attention to the trenches will get you in trouble quickly.

Not to mention their head coach won't fire the defensive coordinator. And their head coach almost left for the Penn State job, but is welcomed back by the University. What a joke that they have become.

People are dressing up as empty seats. If their admin cared about winning, they would of pulled the trigger after Nebraska. But you have a head coach who is a loser and cancels practice after a loss.

If at least Golden wasn't fired most of the defensive staff should've been. With the talent in South Florida alone, Miami shouldn't fall below 9 wins a year. But they're too cheap to hire a top flight coach, it says something that they ended up with a coach from Temple and we got a 2 time NC coach for OSU after both teams came off of disappointing seasons.

It's actually par for the course.
Florida is loaded with talent, but is recruited nationally and 3 "big" schools there. Florida, FSU, and Miami basically trade spots every couple years between whose up/down... and anytime the last two are doing well there's a rotten stench surrounding them.
