Women's Basketball : Junior forward Michelle Munoz has decided to forgo her Senior season on the basketball team for health reasons. "I have decided to end my playing career after three surgeries on the same ankle. I feel I need to take care of my health for what I may decide to pursue in the future. I would like to stay involved with the team. It has been a great experience at <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = ST1 /><ST1:PLACE w:st="on"><ST1:PLACENAME w:st="on">Ohio</ST1:PLACENAME> <ST1:PLACETYPE w:st="on">State</ST1:PLACETYPE></ST1:PLACE>. I love my teammates and coaches and I want to remain in the <ST1:PLACE w:st="on"><ST1:PLACENAME w:st="on">Ohio</ST1:PLACENAME> <ST1:PLACETYPE w:st="on">State</ST1:PLACETYPE></ST1:PLACE> family."

Munoz missed all of nine games during the season due to injury, including all three NCAA tournament game.

Good luck to her and Michael too. As the commercial says, they will be "going pro" along with the group of approximately 99% of all college athletes, however it just won't be as an athlete in professional sports.
