I remember that 6-6 scUM team in 1984. BYU beat them 24-17 in the Holiday Bowl and was awarded the national championship.

If you're young and think I made that last part up, I didn't - that was all BYU had to do in their bowl game to get the MNC. Washington - yeah, they used to be very good - got hosed.
