Michigan WR Antonio Bass - OUT FOR '06 SEASON?

Agreed. As much as we love it, football is still only a game. Knee injuries can last a lifetime - like mine for example... :(

A funny exerpt from the scUM scout article:

On whether Ryan Mundy will be back this spring: "Yes. Llate in the year, we had three secondary backs that all had nerve problems in their shoulders. Jamar Adams is still not 100 percent healthy. Brandent Englemon had surgery and Ryan missed the season because of a nerve injury. Hopefully, those guys will all get back. But Mundy is cleared and ready to go."
I think Llloyd's ineptness is really getting into their heads :tongue2:

It's currently unknown whether his career is over. The rumor is indeed that the muscles are healing well, but that it's nerve damage that might end his career. His father claims that whatever problem is career threatening has been cleared (see August 2 info):

Considering the source, I'm still rather worried.

For this year, it's likely that incoming recruit Carlos Brown will take Bass's unique spot as an occassional QB. Brown had an excellent spring, showed great speed, and also played QB in high school.

I hope the info is correct and he will be back. Never like seeing that from the parents. Rather hear it from a team spokesman or doctor.
Best of luck and a speedy recovery.

Found this and posted it in the TSUN news thread, thought I'd post it here too.

Staff and wire service reports
Antonio Bass continues to impress his coach with his attitude.
If only that was all it took to get the Jackson High School graduate back on the football field at the University of Michigan......
