Michigan WR Mario Manningham (official thread)

Brett adds a lot to both boards. I like having him around.

That said, I was at the Austintown Fitch v Jackson game last night and was talking to a buddy of mine that coaches in Youngstown. Word is that Mario Manningham is thinking that he jumped the gun on his decision and is rethinking things. He's still committed to Michigan, but he might be falling into the soft verbal category lately. This is all second hand and my friend really had nothing to back it up, just what he's gotten from his dealings with other coaches. It may not be true at all, but it's out there and it came from somewhere.

Who knows how true this is, but that "rumor" is definitely making it's way around the Valley, FWIW.

EDIT The Falcons beat MJ 14-6, by the way.

Anyone read the Manningham update by the scUM reporter over at rivals? He indicated he basically is feeling pressure to attend OSU but he wouldn't consider it due to the possible sanctions on the MoC crap. I wonder if Tres would visit him to clear the air and maybe open up his recruitment.

First, I doubt he is getting much pressure to attend tOSU. Maybe a few classmates have said something. Big deal. All smoke. Second, there aren't going to be any sanctions from what Fredo Clarrett started. Blowing smoke at smoke. The whole thing is just the Rivals interviewer and Mario having some fun.

Mario is an Ohio boy that wants to go to scUM. His head is screwed on wrong. There will always be a few that somehow got traumatized as babies and end up going over to the dark side. It is sad they are so fouled up.

Manningham kicks a decent ball and most kickoffs are well out of the endzone. He does have some problems with accuracy though. He seems to choke when the pressure is really on. I think he will end up being the long snapper for michigan, after a redshirt year.

Nice handle.

I have heard that the skirts he wears are too tight for him to snap the ball between his legs. Can he do it side-saddle?

I am a Mich fan and have only seen a few video clips of him. I know most of you are probably more familiar with him than me, but can anybody fill me in on him? Have any of you watched him in person?

I'm sure some Michigan boards have some clips on him, seeing as he is a Michigan commit.

Huh? Are you saying you should go to a michigan board to find out about a michigan recruit? Hell, that sounds as weird as going to a gas station to get gas.
