MS could simply make sure the product key is activated and windows is run on the same base IP address since all the computers you have should be run off one net connection. There are plenty of ways they could detect that the same Windows key is being used from the same base IP. I would probably pay $100 for that, definitely $80. When they are charging $299 for a fresh copy of XP Pro and $199 for an upgrade, there is no way in hell I would consider buying it. Don't even get me started on Office '03 Pro for $499 and upgrade for $329 cause that is even more pathetic. You charge more $ for office applications than the base OS of your system? give me a friggin break!BrutusMaximus said:It really isnt even a hack to fix this, it's just a simple option you uncheck. You are right about the price thing though, they are out of their fuckin minds. Now if they charged $100 or something for 1 copy, and you could use it on all your computers, then I would not have a problem with it. But being that you have to own a copy for every computer, they can blow me.
Do me a favor and don't post them or I might have to ding you bucknola...and I'm not kidding :)bucknola said:Anything one man can engineer another can reverse engineer.
I will tell you your comments on pricing make me laugh and cringe. If you think MS is expensive you would hate my pricing.:)
