Mike and Mike in the Morning

So when you're losing by X points at halftime, you're supposed to say to your team, "Alright, let's pack it up and go home. Scout team, you're in so that the game can be official!" What number is that X number? 20? 30?

I remember a game where Ohio State was losing to Minnesota 31-0 before halftime. 1988? Sometime in the late '80's. Are you saying that Cooper should have said, "Ehh.. let's just run out the clock." Cooper didn't say that, and Ohio State won the game, 41-37. The chances of coming back from 31 points is very slim. But how can a team ever respect their coach who says, "Let's just not even try to win this game, anymore."

Go back. Read it again. Delete your post.

And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...

the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go! :wink2:

I don't think you read my post correctly.

Yes, he did. Face it, the game was decided by halftime, yet Charlie still sent Brady Quinn out there to throw some more TD passes to the Michigan secondary to inflate his stats and put more points on the board.

Are we doing the whole movie this time?

If so, we'll have to merge all of the posts from all of the threads where we've done this and rename the thread.

A short title like '1941' should do nicely. Since people throw in quotes from other movies maybe we should just call it 'Belushi'.

In the interest of accuracy, I'd like to point out the Brady Quinn didn't throw any pick-6's to the scUM secondary in the second half.

Although Charlie only had the halftime to make adjustments, the second half strategy of letting scUM run up the score was accomplished by Quinn dropping the ball and letting Woodley pick it up and run for a TD.

This will be the only time this season that the words 'Brady Quinn,' 'throw,' and 'accuracy' will be used together in a complete sentence.

What the hell is sarcasm?

And what the hell is this "reading" thing I'm supposed to do?

Sorry Dryden. I didn't read and I didn't pick up any sarcasm. Maybe I was too quick to remember how awesome that game was against Minnesota. Don't be surprised if I respond to another one of your posts with the memory of another game.

Which brings me to the 1997 Rose Bowl....
