MO WR Jeremiah McClellan (Oregon Signee)

Welcome to the fam Jeremiah! I know he's thought of being brought in to play in the Slot, I think he can play inside or outside. He fits the offense well, but also has the talent to play 1 on 1 on the outside. His game reminds me some of Terry McLaurin's, in that he plays and succeeds at playing all over the offense and isn't a WR scared to block either. Another BIG pickup for Hartline

Wiltfong wrote an article on how special Jeremiah McClellan was last night. Scored 3 times on a catch and run, a jump ball and a long run from the wildcat. The play he had that went viral where he made multiple defenders miss while cutting across the field and scoring, was negated due to penalty but again showed his special traits and how dangerous he is with the ball in his hands.

Wiltfong said the plan for McClellan is for Ohio State to use him like they do Egbuka. McClellan sounds very locked in with his decision.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get a bump in his ranking after putting on a show like that with the director of recruiting in attendance. He did it against a powerhouse Indiana team too who has a CB committed to Indiana in the 2024 class.

Jeremiah McClellan
– As the nation's No. 97 player, McClellan already has a lofty rating, but I'm still not sure if that is high enough for the Ohio State commit. He performs at an elite level time after time and I have yet to see him not rise to the occasion. As a 5.9 four-star there isn't enough buzz about him when it comes to the five-star discussion and although he doesn't possess a trait that separates him from every other player at his position, McClellan has little weakness in his game. He could be the most complete receiver with the highest floor in the 2024 class.

You know you're spoiled as a program when this is what's being said about your 3rd best WR!

Might be an obvious thing for me to say, but I am elated about this WR class. Aside from all being actual/potential 5* players, I think going with just three WRs in this class is a really smart with some other positions needing more numbers in '24. That is of course assuming we don't seek out a fourth, but I don't see that happening.

JJ Smith is a generational talent at WR, so I won't go as far as to saying McClellan might end up better than him, but he might be right there with Graham and in any event far from an afterthought in terms of talent. Cue the "sounds like one of them good problems" GIF.
