Most Impressive win ever?

Trolololol
I wanted to post this here instead of the game thread where it would get buried.

But all last night and this morning i've been trying to think about all the games i've watched and all the games i've read about.

And I can't think of another game where OSU was this dominating and impressive on both sides of the ball. At least in my lifetime, this was probably the greatest performance i've ever seen from an Ohio St football team. And especially when you add the fact it was with a 3rd string QB. I mean they made a heisman contending RB look like a scrub. They scored at will, they didn't give up a single point, and they didn't turn the ball over once.

The only game that comes to my mind where they looked this unstoppable was the 2002 Washington St game

I said it in the game thread, that was the best game I've ever seen Ohio State play. Just a total team performance. There have been larger margins of victory against scrubs and Pitt, but for playing a solid team, with a highly-ranked defense, this is it. It was truly a clinic.

In a thread a day or so ago, in response to a post about Cardale and Ted Ginn, I said something about it feeling like destiny.

I had no idea.

Could not have begun to imagine it would play out this spectacularly. I haven't felt this good the morning after a game since the NC win.
And given all the circumstances, this one feels more satisfying because it was so improbable.

They write movies about situations like this. The word is "Legendary"--we saw a Legend born.

Maybe the 1974 Rose Bowl, in which #2 Ohio State beat #7 Southern Cal by the score of 42-21 - a bigger stage against a better opponent on essentially their home field.

Or 1968, in which #1 Ohio State beat #4 Michigan 50-14 - really special because it was The Game and Ohio State went on to win a national championship.

But 59-0 in a B1G championship game is pretty damned impressive.

Considering the moment and what needed to be done. To be absolutely perfect when the world was watching. This performance single-handily got them into the playoff and could result in a National Championship.

Yes.

edit- of course LJB throws out a couple valid answers too. Just glad I got to witness this one. Unbelievable.

Most dominant for me. 2nd ranked defense, under dogs, leading rusher behind a massive line and we just punished them.

It felt like we were playing kent state in that I never felt they would threaten us as long as we didn't back off. What's scary is it should've been 11 points worse if not for a wide open drop by zeke (4 points lost), and then getting cute inside the 5 then having a kick blocked.

We were destroying their skill with big hits and we attacked Gordon when he got the ball. Our secondary had zero lapses and the same can be said for our front 7.

Connected on almost all our deep balls, hit multiple big hitters on the ground, and when they brought pressure we hit crossing patterns for big gaines. Also very few drops and our WRs were really on their game snagging all the high throws early until Cardale settled in.

Then oh yes Cam Johnson laying 2 inside the 5 when they should've bounced for touchbacks. He was able to put back spin on it to have it stick.

Only blemishes- blocked kick, dropped TD, got a little too cute on 2 drives or so, and started to back off their WRs at the end (I understand why though)

This game will be in repeat this off season. To me it was perfection.

Technically there were guys open but the combination of pressure and shitty QB missed them all (I think he hit one decent size pass in the second half?).
