so, each of us has an issue with the shift key. i am not aware of its location, and you're not aware that it's used to produce the symbols.

Yeah, but I was just joking around, but it doesn't seem that you are.

Screw this, I'm going to enjoy a bunch of football games today.

FYI, post 83 was not a problem for me. Post 81, with the blue (or whatever color you wish to call that) emoticon, is what bothered me. I consider that to be an indication of mocking someone, or classifying them as a dipshit. Perhaps that wasn't what was intended.

it was intended to call out your attempt at correcting me. it wasn't really mocking you (though, kind of) and wasn't calling you a dip**** (though, certainly; i would be more the fool for actually thinking that you don't know that the shift key is responsible for symbols... just like you would be more the fool for actually thinking that i don't know where the shift key is; damn, this is a long parenthetical statement). it's an emoticon i almost never use, so perhaps what you inferred from it was something that i wasn't aware was implied.

I'm taking your first sentence to be in reference to post #81. That wasn't an 'attempt at correcting' you. It was intended to just poke fun at your normal avoidance of the upper-case, which we both consider to be 'quirky' (your word from another post). I placed the winking emoticon behind it, in order to clearly indicate it was a friendly, joking post.

However, I believe I notice a tendency on your part to resent the content of posts when you interpret them to be attempts at correcting you when you feel it's not necessary. Thus, when your post #82 included the emoticon that I didn't like in response to my post, but failed to include a preposition I believed should be there, I pointed that out by bolding the word for in my response.

To summarize, I wasn't trying to 'call out' anything in post 81. You apparently thought I was, so you included that emoticon in post 82. That ticked me off, so in post 83 I did 'call out' what I believed to your missing preposition in post 82. Because I'm a spiteful prick, which is something we can agree on.
