Wonderful. I was worried that if ND were to beat USC (which we could use) but run the table, they'd undoubtedly jump us assuming we're in the NC hunt. But now, a win over USC takes them out of the running while ND wouldn't jump us. Again, this is still early and who knows what will happen. I just want a chance at the NC so damn bad.

You are correct in that we need ND to beat USC, but I wouldn't bet the farm that NC wouldn't jump us. I don't think they should jump us, but this is ND we are talking about and stranger things have happened. Voters have a perpetual hard-on for Notre Dame.
