Music City Bowl: Florida State v. Kentucky (-1.5)

.... just to shut up that chop crap they never stop with that poop

Its a cheer for FSU fans, they had to keep it simple.

Back in the day when they came up with it, they tried to get them to do a cheer that used the letters F-S-U but the whole damn stadium kept saying "F" all day. Band leader finally said fuck it, give them a one syllable sound to repeat over and over. The rest is history.

I don't think the band even knows how to play anything else. I wonder what their practices are like. "Ok guys, the tomahawk chop chant, 600 times, then lets wrap it up."

I must admit, when FSU fans do the tomahawk chop incessantly for hours on end it bothers me FAR less than when Atlanta Braves fans do it.
Huh. For me it's the opposite. I think it's because you see it at Braves games maybe six or seven times, total. That's about what I remember from my trip to Turner Field. On the other hand FSU does it ALL GODDAMN GAME LONG.

Regular season, maybe. In the POs and WS, those idiots do it for 9 full innings, and extras if necessary.

I find the chop tolerable mostly because it pales in comparison to the stupid lion roar at Nittany State.

I have to mute all FSU and Braves games. The Chop is second only to scUM's fight song in my heirarchy of hate. PSU and others doing that faggy techno song chant all game is quickly moving up the chart.

Nah, it was the playoffs when I went. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that A) the place was filled with at least 1/3 Cubs fans if not more, and B) the Cubs pretty much rolled, but there wasn't much chopping going on.

The nice thing about the lion roar is that they don't bring it to the opposing stadiums. When FSU rolls into town, you know they're bringing their band and the chop with them.

After watching his teams fundamentals , I wonder if Jimbo thinks he has made a BIG mistake? nahhhh...
He'll realize that right about the same time Mike Davis did. I get the feeling that Bowden will leave ol' Jimbo with a turd sammich, and Jimbo's gonna be the one catching crap from the fans.

Yes, the faggy techno song bugs me as well. It makes PSU fans 30 times more annoying than they already were. The roar and the Woooaaa Wooaa shit.... Makes me want to throw full bear cans at them from point blank range. I don't even need to do that. I'm from Pittsburgh.

Good point on the traveling annoyance.
