Myron Rolle (Future Surgeon)

Scout $
372048_MyronRolle5.JPG

Rolle has 35 offers as of right now. He grew up following PSU and FSU. He has his own website going myronrolle.net. He will visit OU, as they were the first to offer. They(myron & family) have not eliminated any teams from consideration, and are using a list to keep track of teams. The list has different criteria on it. If the schools haven’t produced or they don’t have things he is looking for they have a mark against them. A good education and a chance at the NFL are what he looks for the most in selecting a school.

That is pretty cool, but on his football page, he lists his offers and we are not one of them? Maybe we have offered and they havn't updated it yet. However, if we havn't I would assume Tressel and Co. are on it and should offer soon.

OK... good stuff... talked with Rolle's best friend and co-captain on the football team... Friend is a SR and Rolle was elected co-captain as a junior.. something this fella said never happens...

1) Rolle is 6'3" and 211 ...
2) Current GPA is 93% and has not begun to take the SAT prep yet... but did take it just for the heck of it... scored close to 1200... now he plans on getting serious about it !!!
3) said Rolle is a very good person and comes from an outstanding and successful family
4) Hun school only plays other prep schools... doesn't play public or Catholic schools because the other schools have nothing to gain and everything to lose.. with the way NJ post season works...

The leader had been Oklahoma but lately Rolle has been talking about Ohio State equally... friend says those are probably the two hottest ones right now... says they try not to talk schollies because Myron is being barraged... and everyone wants to know where he's going...

This friend is darn good size too... and he accepted an offer with Princeton... over Cornell and two other brainiac schools...

Now the little kicker... best friends father is a tOSU alum... undergrad and law school... friend says folks in the circle think he could be better than Doss... he's faster and already bigger... he loves safety but the thinking is he has the frame to eventually carry 240 !!! that'd be a heckuva safety...

when you think NJ prep... think Western Reserve Academy

Friend says they play the best prep programs in the state...

there's no way to compare their level of play because they don't play outside their elements...

USC was mentioned tonight... but almost superfically... the friend honed on in the Buckeyes and the Sooners... they know all about Doss and that's the benchmark...

The friend said Myron is basketball skinny... that's why they think he can add 30 pounds... can you imagine a 6'3" 240 lb safety in college??? with outstanding speed...

The Buckeyes better hang banners for this kid in the Med school building because that might be his focus... think Robert Smith...

NJ ur update sounds great but do u think his friend focused on osu b/c u were a fan or on his own? he has to know salley will be gone and whitner will be a sr. when he arrives, so he should be able to compete for a spot right away.

Not too mention that Whitner has been discussed as a CB for next year with EJ maybe gone. Which could have been why we heard of so mnay prospects being considered at Safety. But I do agree that Myron should be our top prospect out of state and we should heavily focus on him. Do you think Jenkins would have anny pull since he is from Piscataway... if that is even near where Myron lives I don't know. But this update does sound very appealing :).

OSU Rob... great point.. I wondered that myself... plus the fact the kid got real excited when he knew my son graduated from OSU and almost yelled so did his dad... I just wanted to lay the groundwork so I can send along some helpful hints to Myron that he is loved... and would fit nicely in the Doss mold... And in case they have spent too much time hitting the books, I can remind them the NFL is becoming very populated with OSU safeties...

BGriff... I'd send the brainiacs... Krenzel and Robert Smith.... Piscataway is not far away at all... at least to the school Rolle attends... maybe 30 minutes...

Rolle lives on the Jersey shore just on top of Atlantic City (the SE part of the state).... and he rooms at the prep school in Princeton (west central)... look at my sorry avatar... and you'll see microscopic red dots on Princeton and Atlantic City.. other dots are Manhattan and Philly

Education won't be just a trendy politically correct thing for this one... he's another molecular biogenetics type... show him the labs before you show him the football stadium... He already is aware he will have his choice of any college on the planet for football...

Someone make sure the kid is informed that OSU has one of the best medical schools in the country and its only getting better!

The potential in this class is starting to make me stutter.:2004:

NJ-Buckeye your reports are much appreciated!
I totally agree. NJ, if you could keep us updated on Myron and how his recruitment is going... that would be wonderful. I am already very grateful that you have passed on what you know so far, thank you.

Sounds like Malcolm Jenkins would be the perfect guy for him to guide him around on his official. Lives pretty close to him in New Jersey, plays defensive back, doesn't get much closer than that.

We have one of the best college hospitals in the nation, and probably the #1 cancer research hospital in the nation. I was cautiously excited about this kid, but having him interested in possibly going into medicine has me excited! I don't know much about OU's hospitals, but I would have to think we're better than OU in the medical field, or in the science field for that matter!
