Not so fast. Pitt and Stanford are no push overs for ND. They could lose both.

That would be nice. I don't really want to see ND get good again, but I'd rather they be the ones that win the race to the bottom against the Wolverines so Brian Kelly doesn't end up in AA.

I have a hunch that they'll end up with Harbaugh after RR fails.

You might be right, but I'm pretty sure Harbaugh has burned all the bridges back to AA. You don't go public with the real story about kinetics, athletes, and academics at the "Harvard of the West" and then get anointed coach.

Iowa and Notre Amer loses, we beat State Penn, I'm so happy I could cry :)

Mixed feelings here about Iowa, especially their loss of Stanzi. Leaves the Buckeyes with very little on their schedule to pull them up in the polls, takes a good deal out of what was shaping up to be a great game to finish the home season.

On the other hand, it's good to see Northwestern playing hard. Really like Fitzgerald as a coach. Hope they can keep him happy in Evanston.

Then top it off with an end of the Claussen for Heisman chatter, Fat Boy on the Fire List, Irish Eye's not Smiling, whew almost like a hot fudge sundae over double chocolate chip ice cream at Graeter's... toooo much good stuff.

Who gives a shit about the polls now?

Maybe if they didn't lose to Purdue it would be an issue. But they did. Now all they can get to is the Rose Bowl. The polls are completely meaningless.

ulukinatme, I admit I have a vested interest based on fantasy football, but what happened to Kyle Rudolph? Early on he was a focal point of the offense, with screen passes and lots of looks over the middle. He seems to have disappeared, even while Floyd was out.

That was small potatoes compared to some of the private bridges he's torched. Great coach, no chance at UM while Lloyd is around.

Yeah agree. Even before he got hurt his catches had really dropped off from the start of the season. Early on it looked like he had a real chance at 600-700yds and 8 or 9 TDs.

In the first five games he had 21 catches for 267 and 3 TDs. In the last 4 games he's had 12 catches for 97yds and 0 TDs.

The return of Floyd doesn't help him though, although I can't blame Calusen cause that kid is a top 3 WR in the nation IMO and would be in Heisman discussion if he hadn't gotten hurt.

Well with two losses it's mostly likely the Rose Bowl for the Buckeyes. They should win out and if they do it's Pasadena for sure and what Iowa does is irrelevant. If not it's probably the Capital One Bowl with a chance to whup up on some poor SEC team. If you ask me I think the SEC looks weak this year. Sure Florida and Alabama are two of the top3 teams in the BCS but they haven't looked great. I think they both can be had in which ever bowl they participate.

LSU can play with anyone, especially on defense. Since they are almost certain to be in the cap one bowl, they should not be overlooked if Ohio State doesn't get to the BCS.

Certainly so but I still like the Buckeye's chances against them The defense is just as stout and Pryor gives them the edge on offense. Their O has been even less consistent than our's.

Is this enough for thr Domers to pull the plug on Charlie Weiss after this season?

Seriously, they had a 40+ year winning streak against the service academy they play every year as part of their daunting schedule and he loses twice AT HOME to said service academy. This is why you don't give a coach a 10 year contract for losing a game...
