NBA Discussion (Official Thread)

This is a big one right here. Props to the Raptors for going all in:

All in? They're trading away DeRozan, their all time leading scorer who actually wanted to stay in Toronto, for a guy who will bail after one season (if he reports at all).

Seems like a short-sighted move that won't win them anything, but it'll get DeRozan's contract off their books.

Yeah that doesn’t make any sense at all for Toronto, especially now if its not done.. they’ve just pissed off the guy who wanted to stay.... I wonder if they get back in good graces much like Tony Parker and the Spurs when they went after Jason Kidd..

Best move possible for the Lakers because I just don't see KL staying beyond next year. If they can keep their young talent and then sign KL as a free agent next year............look out. They will be tied at a minimum w/ Golden State for title odds, especially if they can't keep Klay.

Yeah, the Raptors are gonna be really fucking good.

Raptor fans are gonna be really fucking disappointed. Their leading scorer is gone, Danny Green is on an expiring contract, their first round pick next draft is gone, and Leonard is likely to have another lingering "injury" like he had this past season in San Antonio.

Unless they're working on a deal to send him to LA...

Also, Toronto trading their star who's under control for at least 2 more years (with a player option in 2020-2021) for a 1 year rental who's likely to half ass it or fake an injury. This whole situation is comedy.

Dumb ass Knicks fans mad they passed on Michael Porter. Lower back surgery in college is a red flag. I wouldn't roll those dice with a lottery pick.

Knicks fans should be thrilled the organization’s higher-ups didn’t listen to them...“Michael Porter Jr. has undergone surgery of the lumbar spine at The Carrell Clinic in Dallas,” the (Nuggets) said in a press release. “The procedure was performed by Dr. Andrew Dossett. There is no timetable for his return to basketball participation.”
