Fuck the Celtics.

Fuck instant replay when it has to give the ball to the team that fouls in order for the ball to go out of bounds.

The ref that quickly called a foul on KG apparently agreed. :wink2:

Jackson is 47-0 in playoff series when he wins game one. The Lakers are 43-5 when they lead a playoff series 2-1, so it's not looking good for the Celtics. There is one stat in their favor: they're 9-2 versus the Lakers in NBA Finals.

Artest is making a difference with his defense on Pierce, who was MVP in the 2008 series. Rondo is better than he was then but the "Big Three" are 2 years older. The Celtics are also missing James Posey, who brought them something off the bench in 2008 that they don't have now.

It's a different series than 2 years ago, and it appears to favor LA this time.

Now, in the interest of equal time in this thread - Fuck the Lakers.

:tibor: I find it amazing that anyone who coaches a team led by Paul Pierce would have the gall to claim that an opposing team's player flops.
It is funny considering he coaches Paula, but it is true. Fisher is a terrific actress.

I've now watched a grand total of about 10 minutes since the Cavs were knocked out. Like I said during the BOS-ORL series. The officiating makes these games unwatchable. I turned game 3 off after about three minutes and 5 fouls. It's fucking awful.

1) Pierce disagrees, but I happen to agree with you.
2) What happened to House?

Now, in the interest of equal time in this thread - [censored] the Lakers.

I love it! Disdain equally shared and felt is a wonderful thing!

And 2-2 since Bill Russell retired, so that stat is meaningless.

Most of the 47 and 43 wins have nothing to do with this series, either, so they're all "meaningless" by your definition.

As crappy as the Celtics looked in the first half I'm happy to only be down 3 at halftime. I still don't like the feel of the game, though.

Big Baby Davis "mean mugs" anytime he makes a play, like even he's surprised he did it.

Rasheed Wallace about has a heart attack for being called for a foul while hacking Kobe. Tech.

Nate Robinson gets a foul called on Odom. Gets in his face. Tech.

There are plenty more reasons to hate the Celtics other than just Paula and KG. Just a bunch of trashtalking bitches.

I realize there are certain things that Rondo does well, but I swear that I think he's a liability for the Celtics.

Good win for the C's tonight. Had the Lakers displayed any sort of passion/killer attitude; then they could have ended this game in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

Fuck that shit. :roll2:

Ron Artest went into the stands and attacked a fan a few years ago. No one on the Celtics has done such a thing. The ultimate "thug" in this series plays for LA.

Hell of an effort by the Celtics bench in the 4th quarter. They pretty much won this game tonight, when the Celtics had to have it. :)

I don't know what you've been watching for the past month but the Celtics wouldn't even be playing in this series without Rondo.

I completely understand that my opinion seems out of left field; however, when you have a point guard who isn't a threat on any shot beyond 10 feet and sucks at the stripe... then I see him as a liability. Or at least, I should say that the coronation that the pundits were lauding him as the next best thing is painfully hyperbolic. In addition to this, I find his defense to be somewhat lacking. He allows people by him frequently in the hopes of the reach around slap which more often than not is some sort of contact on the offensive players person. It doesn't get called, because he's quick. But he doesn't move his feet for squat.

Like I said, maybe I'm just railing against the preponderance of praise, but I believe that the C's would be even better with a non-offensive liability at the 1 guard.

Paul Pierce is more thug than Ron Artest will ever be. Artest was just too stupid to know any better when somebody threw a cup at him. I would be shocked if somebody could prove to me that Paul Pierce wasn't legitimately in a gang.

The difference is that I'm convinced Ron Artest is legitimately crazy. He should be locked up a psych ward.

The Celtics have too many babies and trashtalking asshats on their team. They're not at all likable in any sense of the word. They are the only team that would cause me to cheer for the Lakers.
