NCAA 13 (PS3) 5th Annual Online Dynasty Thread

Hey I had a question for u guy still a little early for this but I just heard the ps4 is coming out for x-mas this year for $500 or even more wtf you guys going to get it and well next years league be play on the ps3 or the ps4 or both seeing that ncaa14 well come out before the ps4. Ill end up killing Someone if I have to buy NCAA twice one for ps3 and for ps4

Really I doubt we will be playing NCAA14 on the PS4. Since the game comes out in July and the PS4 won't come out til December, that is alot of gaming time. Plus if everyone remembers how bad NCAA was in the 1st version under the PS3, I would avoid NCAA14 on the PS4 like the plague.

Now, will the PS3 dynasty die when the PS4 comes out? The only way that would happen is IF people could trade in their PS3 to get a discount on the PS4. Otherwise people will still have their PS3 to play their PS3 games since PS3 games supposedly won't work on the PS4 right away.

So really... I think NCAA14 dynasty will be safe. Now, the NCAA15 dynasty... that will be interesting depending on how many people get the PS4, and/or how EA develops the game for the new system and how bad they have to re-write everything and fuck up the game even worse.

First let me say, MD was going to win. That isn't in question. I had my tackle/strip settings to conservative like I always do with these guys. But broken tackle after broken tackle is the reality of this defense. Generally, I can get in position, but it doesn't matter, ever.

Now for the rest of it. This game almost cost me a new TV. Biggest issue was button lag - defensively any moves, direction change, or tackle was behind. The first two series you could see my player dive in the wrong direction or change direction at the wrong time, so I quit actively controlling the players. Except the long 3rd down conversion you had early when I switched to the Covering man, he stopped.

Offensively I had to make a pass within two seconds of snapping the ball or I would get sacked or the man would be covered. That's why there were so many easy picks, I had to guess which coverage and open player immediately. Then, if I did hold on to the ball and have a receiver open, there were three occasions were the ball went to the wrong person. A pick early in the third I threw to DGB (circle) and it went to (square) and was picked. I was throwing a jump ball to him and i made the detwrmination before the snap. One went incomplete. The third one went for a completion, but I had a wide open TE 5 yards further down the field. If the TE would have turned around and made an attempt at the ball, I would have just thought it was a bad pass (93ACC by the way), but it hit the trailing receive perfectly coming back - I didn't put any direction on the pass, not for nothing. I had two Mis-option handoffs due to the lag, but that didn't matter after the first quarter (read below for this).

Half speed positons? This is a new one altogether. My RB and DT 1 position played the game at half speed beginning in the 2nd. Running routes, carrying the ball, or running after the ball, it was in half speed. If I went in to a 5 wide (no RB position I would think) or a 1-5 nickel defense and formation subbed a DE, the problem would carry over to the DE or slot WR. I couldn't run the ball, literally, at all. Defensively I just tried to rotate my LB's to the DT, but I don't think it would make much difference.

This game wasn't near as frustrating as the one vs Shehad because I gave up. But these last two user games in this league have almost forced me into retirement. Next season will be mildly better on defense, as I have lots of youth, but tonight's uncontrollable issues were just dumb.

Again, MD was going to win. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
