In other news crybaby Weasels are whining en masse about a vast anti-scUM conspiracy at EASports. Bret was on BNuts whining about how OSU was ranked higher than scUM last year across the board. Yeah, shocking that, considering NCAA 2004 was the title that came out following our national title run.

Is Penn State a little over-valued? Or is it just my imagination? Must be more of that anti-Michigan EA bias. :boohoo:

Here's what EA thinks of the Heisman Trophy: Our QBs, none of whom have ever started, are ranked as a 93:osu: , while Chokelahomo, with Heisman Trophy winner and lifer Jason White, can manage just a 92.:tongue2:

I guess the source on these is the Prima strategy guide for the game, and the consensus seems to be that the numbers are not factual.

The good news is we'll know for sure in a couple days. But Penn State at #7 does seem a little odd.

yes...the prima strategy guide has been uncovered as complete garbage.

has anybody pre-ordered this game. some say it ships tomorrow and those who pre-ordered get it tomorrow night. others say it ships monday, and pre-orders get it monday night. all others get it tuesday.

who knows....i just want to play this damn game already!

I preordered, prepaid about 6 months ago at Electronics Boutique. I'm being told Monday morning.

I preordered from eb and they said they are getting the shipment in late sunday afternoon and the game will be available right when the store opens on monday. The thing that sucks is I have to go through thinking about the game all day at work.

One thing about EA Sports is that their ratings are not always based on the previous seasons. They have very good football forecasters. I watched an interview at Tiburon and they said that they have a team devoted to forecasting the season rather than just settlling on the ratings of previous seasons. I think that makes the game very dynamic.

I was one of the many complaining when Madden 2004 made the Browns so poor following a 9-7 season...But looks like they nailed that on the head! Here's hoping things turn out close to what they predict with our QB's. I also think they rated our LB's a little lower than expected based on all the help they got from the D-Line last year. AJ Hawk will be the first to tell you, it's a world of difference when you can roam around unblocked.

I'm impressed with the ratings although I think they expect a lot out of FSU and Penn State...I think it takes balls...lets see if it pays off.
