Thats why I was excited about the Solich hire... now if he can get all the pieces there at once...

Well the option was there when Grobe was coaching. Then the guy that replaced him couldn't handle the option and tried to go to a passing attack and was an epic failure.

The only difference I might have to use the spread option versus the flexbone option. Have to figure out which I want to do. Then load up my playbook and options for it. I have alot of work to do since I have been pass happy teams (SMU & Texas Tech) and have not done any option on '09 at all.

:smash: I got cheated like hell by Texas A&M

im up 24-21 and a break a 70 yard TD run to the outside

im 30 yards downfield with NOBODY around and out comes a flag for holding, 70 yard run taken back

next play I get sacked and have to punt, they get a FG to tie it at 24

THEN on the kickoff my kickoff returner fumbles and gives them the ball like at the 30, and then they score a TD to make it 31-24, and of course I come out and toss a INT the first play after the kickoff, they tack on a FG for the final score of 34-24

I also had a punt returner fumble on a punt return to giftwrap them a TD earlier in the game

looks like its gonna be a long season

I use the Air Force playbook. It has a few ace formations with option available. Several I-formations with option available. One flexbone formation and several shotgun formations. Two of the shotgun formations have two backs and one has one back with two TEs. It's a very diverse playbook that I can use with either Kentucky (heavy on RBs) or CMU (heavy on WRs).

You'd better get your shit together by next week then. I didn't leave all of those Michigan games on the schedule so Michigan could win. :tongue2:

I think the option is pretty inefective in this game, especially vs human opponents

especially the Shotgun based options, I tried a few with Terrelle Pryor and he was easily getting ran down by DEs and LBs (the Zone Read plays almost never work unless you give it off to the HB, if you keep with the QB you rarely get over 3 yards and get stuffed in the backfield half the time )

its nowhere near as effective as it was on ps2 versions

That is what I am afraid of and one reason I chose heavy passing teams in my other dynasties. But guess Iron will be my test subject  Plus I have fun using the option on the CPU as it is my favorite offense to watch in college.
